Time to talk with another All-American here on Episode 15 of
Inside Virginia Tech Wrestling. Christiansburg native Zach Epperly
didn't have to go very far to make a college choice. His family
lives about 15 minutes away from campus.
Epperly followed older brother Matt to Virginia Tech and in
2014-15, the youngest Epperly finished seventh at the NCAA Division
I championships at 174 pounds. It garnered him first-team
All-Rookie by Amateur Wrestling News and he's one of two returning
All-Americans at the weight behind Oklahoma State's Kyle
Crutchmer.
Epperly talks about Ty Walz eating all his food, beating both NCAA
finalists this year during the course of the season, wrestling the
same guy three times, wrestling the same guy FOUR times and of
course, Joey Dance's cat.
